Manual data input from information supplied. This could be from a product brochure or data sheets etc.

Writing a data import program. To do this we require a “text delimited file”. This can be produced by your current database application such as "Excel" or "Access". It contains” fixed fields” of all the information you wish to import.
If you are thinking of using a wholesaler or drop-shipping company. Phone them first. Many provide this information and photos on a CD that can then be used to import the data to your site.
We then write a program/script that converts the "text delimited file" to automatically generate the web sites content. If you intend your site to contain many unique entries then this option will save days/weeks or even months of your time and get the site running quickly. This option also has the added benefit of allowing you to upgrade the whole sites content at any time in the future by simply uploading your current “text delimited file”.

Writing a “web spider” program. In some circumstances your supplier may already have a web site that contains all the information that you need. Here we can write a program that “crawls” the site and extracts the information we require to create a “text delimited file”. We can then use this file to automatically generate your web sites content. We can even write the software to copy any images as well.
